Je me décrirais comme I'm a young man with an old soul. I'm ambitious and focused, and its proven successful for my career and a little rough on my social/love life. I've lived in Chicago for about a year now, and I've tried going out and meeting people the "traditional" way to no avail, and although I haven't had much more luck on the web I would feel hypocritical saying I feel lonely sometimes without taking the proactive steps to help remedy that. I'm a fierce rationalist, but its balanced against a hopeless romanticism. I totally believe in love at first sight and all that good stuff. I overthink everything, but I also have a good sense of humor and can find humor in almost anything.

Un premier rendez-vous idéal, ce serait An ideal first date for me would start with that connection that floors you. You can feel yourself being drawn to that person immediately. Your eyes rarely break from each other. The setting doesn't matter as much to me, could be a simple dinner, a show, or just grabbing a cup of coffee. Conversation would just flow easily, we could bounce from topic to topic but still weave elements from earlier in the conversation into the present topics. We could delve in cerebral concepts and deepest philosophies but still keep it light. Most of all though I think we should both be laughing for at least 88% of the date :-D

Mon idée du fun My idea of fun varies from day to day. Some days I might be feeling adventurous and want to explore something new (restaurant, activity, etc), or do something daring (I've always wanted to kayak through downtown Chicago, sky dive, bungee jump, base jump, etc etc, lol). Other days my idea of fun might be more laid back, catch a movie, go to the beach and chill, or just lay around cuddling and watching some tube :-) Although it seems tacky, I think I'm gonna cave and put sex as well. If I really connect with someone, the best days can be spent in the bed entirely.

Que recherchez-vous? I realized recently that the men I fantasize about and the men I've been dating have been totally different. So I'm looking for a muscular, masculine (but not hyper-masculine) man who's balanced by a sensitive and empathetic part of themselves.
