Ik beschrijf mezelf als: Ok, here's a bit about me....I am a single 40 year old guy living and working in New York. I have had a few long-term relationships and have been single for four years now. I am searching for someone to exclusively date on a regular basis with the hope of leading into something more serious and permanent. The challenge, however, is that most guys idea of dating isn't necessarily in sync with my own. I do enjoy--and miss--the flirting, witty and clever dialogue, quality time exploring one another's respective 'worlds, ' building the foundation of a lasting friend/relationship and some good ol' fashion romance. I don’t miss the serial daters, the baggage handlers and those men who can’t seem to make their mind up one way or the other. Wat zoek je? Handsome, kind, hairy and someone who isn't afraid to be himself and to experience a bit of passion - sadly, it's a lost emotion. Here is a sampling of men that tend to catch my fancy: men who are comfortable being goofy and self-deprecating; men who travel; men who nurture and let their inner-child play; active, energetic men; men with facial hair (but a handsome face is a handsome face no matter what); men who understand their purpose in life and act on it; men who are happy with themselves and life; punctual, considerate and humble men; men in an educational/teaching capacity; men who value monogamy and want to be monogamous; men who don't take themselves or life too seriously (relax!); patient men (you may need to wait/date a bit to find out if we click); men who are just as excited as me about the process and joy of discovering one another's quirks, idiosyncrasies; men who celebrate and not mourn/complain about their birthday.
